Flower Anemone’s are amazing and are great for most beginners with a more mature reef! They actually prefer dirtier water quality with a good amount of organics, lower flow, and dimmer lighting with par around 100. You will need a gravel to coarse sand base so that they can bury their foot and attach to the glass below. Be forewarned they will not do well with a bare bottom reef. Flower Nems do not have an aggressive sting, nor do their tentacles extend out very far so you don’t have to worry too much about them stinging other corals. Just be careful to watch your flower anemone as they can move from time to time can move around (especially when first placed into your reef) and because of that fact, you will need to place an anemone guard around all of your powerheads.
Lighting = low light at around 100 par
Flow = Low Alternating Flow
Feeding = Good Quality Frozen meaty foods 1x per week.
