WWC Strawberry Branching Cyphastrea
2.5″ in diameter and 1.5″ tall, WYSIWYG and fully aquacultured by WWC! This is such a cool coral! Cyphastrea decadia is a species of Cyphastrea that make these long snaking branches and this variety is amazing as it grows out with these long pinkish blue branches and strawberry red polyps. We have been farming this beauty for the past 6 years and it has quickly become one of our most popular SPS / Cyphastrea by far!
Keep in mind that Cyphastrea prefer areas of low alternating flow and lower light. As such, we don’t recommend giving them anymore than 125 par (bottom of your reef). Some Cyphastrea can’t handle even half of that, so be very careful when placing them in your reef as they are subject to being bleached out by too much light. They will also appreciate being target fed an SPS food (due to their smaller mouths spread throughout the surface of the coral) 2x times weekly. Just don’t over do it. A couple of squirts is all it takes.
